Conservatory Upgrade

Since the advent of conservatories many years ago, there have been massive leaps in technology focussing on design and material improvements to make your conservatory a room which can be lived in comfortably all year round. Please see the various options available to ensure that a conservatory you may only use at certain times, becomes a multi-functional additional room that can be used 365 days a year.

Polycarbonate

conservatory1You may have had your conservatory installed five or ten years ago. In recent years glazing technology has revolutionised the use of the domestic conservatory as a functional addition to a dwelling! Many older conservatories use 16mm polycarbonate with a u-value of 2.6. Today, roofs accommodate 35mm polycarbonate which greatly increase the insulation as u-value’s of 1.5 can be achieved! In addition, the increased thickness greatly improves sound insulation.

Glass

conservatory2Self-cleaning glass, with coatings that protect from the sun’s excessive heat and reflect energy back into the building, have transformed conservatory roofing. Added to this, the cavity between the glass can be filled with Argon gas which improves thermal insulation even further and reaches u-values of 1.0.

Conservatory Roof Solutions exclusively use the Aztec Conservatory Roof System that is renowned for its strength and speed of installation. So why not transform your conservatory, at a fraction of the cost of a new one, by a straight forward upgrade from Conservatory Roof Solutions? Not only will it be stronger but the improved insulation characteristics will save on heating bills too!

Guardian

By far the greatest innovation has been the development of roofing systems for conservatories. The roof system is designed to replace the existing glass or polycarbonate roof of a conservatory while retaining the original windows, doors, frames and walls. At the same time providing substantial energy cost savings. The Guardian Roof System achieves a U-Value of 0.18.

Fully tested and approved to all thermal and structural standards, the Guardian™ roof is a high performance insulated roof system comprising of a pre-engineered lightweight frame, two layers of rigid insulation board, internal insulated plasterboard, exterior grade plywood, vapour membrane and a choice of external tile finishes.
